Why Reaction Target Systems
We are extremely passionate about target shooting, and after finding limited options for SR500 reactive steel targets on the market, we decided to create our own. Specializing in Industrial Design, we set out to create SR500 reactive steel target systems that offer something new, challenging, and exciting, while factoring in safety, durability, portability, reactivity, ammo, and materials.
What is SR500 Steel?
SR500 steel—short for “Shooting Range 500”—is a high-hardness alloy designed specifically for ballistic targets. Compared to standard AR500 steel, it offers greater durability and improved resistance to bullet fragmentation. With a hardness range of 500–590 HBW, SR500 provides a tougher, smoother shooting surface that is less prone to pitting than conventional abrasion-resistant steels. Proudly made in the USA.

What can you shoot at our target systems?
All our reactive steel target systems use only the highest quality 1/4" and 3/8" SR500 steel on all parts that are intended to be shot. SR500 steel is the new industry standard, and will hold up to constant shooting, and should withstand thousands of rounds when the guidelines for caliber and distance to target are strictly followed.
